Dual Schottky in a small SOT-343 — what it is
The Infineon BAS70-07WE6327 packs two independent Schottky diodes into a single SC-82A / SOT-343 surface-mount package. Each diode is rated for 70 V DC reverse voltage and 70 mA average rectified current, with a forward voltage drop of 1 V at 15 mA. The 100 ps reverse recovery time makes it suitable for high-speed switching applications where a single Schottky or a common-cathode dual would not fit the board layout.
Where it is used
Dual independent Schottky diodes in this footprint are common in high-frequency rectification, polarity protection, clamping, and OR-ing circuits on compact PCBs — think portable instrumentation, battery-powered IoT nodes, and telecom line cards where board area is tight and each diode needs its own cathode connection. The 150°C junction temperature rating allows deployment in warm environments such as enclosed power supplies or near hot components.
100 ps trr — what it buys you
A 100 ps reverse recovery time means the diode transitions from forward conduction to reverse blocking with minimal stored charge. In a switching power supply or a high-speed data-line clamp, that translates to lower switching losses and less ringing. For a 70 mA average current part, the trr figure is aggressive — it keeps the diode effective well into the low-nanosecond edge-rate regime where slower Schottkys would start to conduct backward.
