Small-signal Schottky for tight spots
The Infineon BAS4002LE6327 is a Schottky diode rated for 40 V reverse voltage and 120 mA average rectified current, built in a tiny SOD-882 leadless package (PG-TSLP-2-1). The 1 V forward voltage at 40 mA is typical for a small-signal Schottky — nothing exotic, but well within the expected range for rail clamping or low-current rectification.
40 V, 120 mA — what the ratings tell you
The 120 mA average current is a small-signal rating — this is not a power rectifier; it lives on signal lines or low-current bias paths. The 1 µA reverse leakage at 30 V is low enough for battery-powered gear, though at 150°C junction temperature that number climbs (derate accordingly if the board runs hot). The 3 pF capacitance keeps the diode invisible at RF frequencies up to several hundred megahertz — handy for ESD protection on antenna lines or high-speed data interfaces.
Package and handling — SOD-882 realities
SOD-882 is a tiny two-pin leadless package — about 1.0 mm × 0.6 mm. No leads to grab; the terminations are underneath. That means rework needs a hot-air station and a steady hand; do not try to swap this on site with a soldering iron. The marking is minimal (often just a single letter), so verify orientation under magnification before placement.
Active production — no LTB worry
If you need a second source, the BAS40 family has multiple pin-compatible Schottky diodes in SOD-323 or SOT-23, but the SOD-882 footprint is specific to this package variant; a direct drop-in from another vendor is unlikely without a PCB change.
