Right-size the wireless MCU for your BOM
The ESP32-D0WDQ6-V3 is a dual-mode Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 transceiver with an integrated MCU, packing 34 GPIOs and 520 kB SRAM in a 6x6 mm QFN package.
Memory headroom and peripheral fit
With 520 kB SRAM and 448 kB ROM, the V3 variant gives firmware engineers enough room for a full TCP/IP stack plus application code — the 150 Mbps PHY rate is the ceiling, not the floor, for throughput. Serial interfaces include ADC, I²C, I²S, SDIO, SPI, PWM, and UART — enough peripheral mix to handle sensor fusion, audio streaming, or motor control without an external companion chip.
For a BOM that already qualifies this part, we source it per RFQ against your quantity — no stock-holding claim, but we can quote against the order code and confirm lead time at quote time.
Package and thermal pad — layout checklist
Supply range is 2.3 V to 3.6 V — a 3.3 V rail with 5% tolerance stays inside the window, but a 3.0 V LDO leaves no margin for ripple; use a 3.3 V regulator with at least 500 mA capability.
