The ECS-2520MVLC-120-CN-TR: Most standard XOs lock to one voltage rail; the 1.6–3.6 V window gives portable and battery-backed designs a path to lower rail current draw while keeping the same pick-and-place item.
Enable/disable control and standby current
The 1.8 mA max supply current at full output covers the typical 12 MHz oscillator draw for ARM Cortex-M and BLE SoC clock trees.
Frequency stability and industrial temperature grade
±25 ppm frequency stability covers the combined error budget of a typical MCU internal PLL and most BLE, UART, and USB-physics clock references.
The 4-SMD no-lead package sits 0.90 mm seated height — low enough for thin-form-factor modules. The land pattern geometry directly affects startup margin and negative-resistance headroom; matching the datasheet-recommended pad dimensions takes the guesswork out of whether the layout will pull the crystal into oscillation reliably on first power-up.
The 12 MHz standard frequency is a common MCU clock rate, but any alternate source requires layout verification against the different oscillator's drive level and load capacitance requirements.
