The SMAJ6.0CA-13-F: For a 6 V signal rail, the 6.67 V minimum breakdown means the device starts conducting just above the normal operating voltage, shunting the surge to ground. The 38.8 A peak pulse current at the 10.3 V clamping point tells you the maximum surge current the diode can sink without exceeding its thermal limit.
