330 µH shielded inductor for automotive DC-DC
The Coilcraft LPS6235-334MRC is a 330 µH shielded drum core power inductor in the LPS6235 series, qualified to AEC-Q200 for automotive-grade reliability. The 400 mA continuous current rating with a 260 mA saturation floor means the core holds its inductance well into the load range — the saturation current sits 65% above the rated current, so a transient 350 mA draw won't push the core into hard saturation and crash the downstream regulator. The 4.4 MHz self-resonant frequency is well above the typical 100 kHz to 2 MHz switching range of automotive buck converters, so the inductor behaves as a pure L over the operating bandwidth.
Package and board-fit for the 2424 footprint
Housed in a 2424 (6060 Metric) surface-mount package with a 3.50 mm seated height, the inductor occupies a 6.20 mm × 6.20 mm board footprint — a standard power-inductor land pattern that supports reflow soldering with a typical peak profile of 245°C to 260°C. The shielded ferrite construction contains the magnetic flux within the core, so adjacent ceramic capacitors or fine-pitch ICs on a 4-layer board see minimal AC stray field coupling.
