100 µH shielded power inductor for automotive and industrial DC-DC filters
The Coilcraft LPS6235-104MRC is a 100 µH shielded drum core inductor in the LPS6235 series, rated for 700 mA continuous current with a saturation current floor of 460 mA.
Shielded ferrite construction and self-resonant frequency
The ferrite core and full magnetic shield contain the flux within the 6.20 mm × 6.20 mm footprint — the 9 MHz self-resonant frequency is well above the 100 kHz test frequency, so the inductor behaves as a pure inductance through the typical switching-regulator band up to a few MHz. Beyond 9 MHz the impedance becomes capacitive, which matters if the converter's ripple frequency approaches that region. For designs that need tighter inductance tolerance, a different core construction would be required.
