10 µH shielded power inductor for automotive and industrial DC-DC stages
The Coilcraft LPS6235-103MRC is a 10 µH shielded drum-core inductor in the LPS6235 series, qualified to AEC-Q200 for automotive-grade reliability. It carries a continuous current rating of 1.28 A with a DCR of 100 mOhm max, making it a fit for output filter or input choke positions in switching regulators where the DC resistance budget is tight.
Saturation headroom and self-resonant frequency
Saturation current is 2.3 A, giving 1.8× headroom above the rated current — the inductance holds within tolerance well past the continuous rating, which helps in applications with transient current spikes. The self-resonant frequency of 37 MHz keeps the inductor inductive well above the switching frequency of most automotive DC-DC converters (typically 400 kHz to 2.2 MHz), so parasitic capacitance does not degrade filtering.
Shielded construction and 2424 footprint
The ferrite core is fully shielded, which reduces radiated EMI into nearby traces or sensitive analog circuits — important in dense automotive ECUs where inductor placement is constrained. Surface-mount reflow assembly; no special handling beyond standard MSL 1 bake-out requirements.
