460 mA current rating, 330 mA saturation floor
The LPS4012-683MRC: Rated 460 mA continuous with a 1.7 Ohm max DCR — the I²R loss at full load is 0.36 W, which the 3.90 mm square, 1.20 mm tall package must dissipate without exceeding the 85 °C ambient ceiling. The saturation current is 330 mA; above that the inductance rolls off sharply, so a buck converter switching at 100 kHz (the test frequency) should see the peak inductor current stay below 330 mA to maintain the 68 µH value across the load transient.
Shielded construction, 15 MHz self-resonant
The ferrite-core shield contains the magnetic flux — useful when the inductor sits next to a sensitive analog trace or a wireless front-end. The self-resonant frequency is 15 MHz, so the inductor behaves as an inductor up to roughly 1.5 MHz in a typical buck converter; above that the parasitic capacitance dominates and the impedance drops.
