Product details

10 µH, 750 mA — saturation margin and conduction loss

The LPS3015-103MRC: Rated for 10 µH at 100 kHz test frequency with ±20 % tolerance. The continuous current rating is 750 mA, and the saturation current (Isat) is 730 mA — the two figures are nearly equal, so the inductor saturates at roughly the same current it reaches its rated temperature rise. In a DC-DC converter with a 750 mA load, a transient peak above 730 mA will cause the inductance to roll off sharply; derating to 600 mA or lower is advisable if the application sees ripple current or load steps. Maximum DC resistance is 440 mOhm. At 750 mA the I²R conduction loss is 0.25 W, which must be dissipated within the 1.50 mm seated height and 2.95 mm footprint. The 125°C upper operating limit provides the thermal budget — verify that the ambient plus self-heating stays below that ceiling in the enclosure.

AEC-Q200 — automotive-grade qualification

Rated AEC-Q200, the automotive passive-component stress qualification standard. Suitable for under-hood and chassis electronics where the temperature cycle and vibration profile exceed commercial-grade limits.

Shielded ferrite core — EMI containment

Shielded construction with a ferrite core. The shield reduces magnetic flux leakage into adjacent traces and components, which matters when the inductor sits near sensitive analog or RF circuitry on the same board. The self-resonant frequency is 48 MHz, well above the switching frequency of most point-of-load converters (typically 500 kHz to 4 MHz), so the inductor behaves as a pure inductance in the operating band.

Surface-mount footprint and supply posture

Packaged in Strip format, surface-mount, nonstandard case size measuring 2.95 mm x 2.95 mm with a 1.50 mm seated height. The small footprint suits dense power rails in automotive ECUs, ADAS modules, and industrial sensor nodes.
