The TMP37FT9Z: The output voltage at 25°C is nominally 500 mV, rising 20 mV per degree — so a 50°C reading gives 1.0 V out, no external scaling needed. That fixed slope simplifies the ADC math: a 10-bit converter with a 2.5 V reference resolves about 0.24°C per LSB without gain stages. Sensing range is 5°C to 100°C locally, but the silicon itself is rated -40°C to 150°C operating, meaning the sensor survives the thermal extremes of an engine bay or industrial oven even though the calibrated span is narrower. The shutdown mode (feature listed) pulls quiescent current to under 1 µA typical — useful for battery-powered loggers that wake, read, and sleep.
Through-hole TO-92 package and bag format
