Product details

Single comparator in a 5-pin SC-70 — what it brings to the board

The Maxim MAX987EXK+T is a single general-purpose comparator in a 5-TSSOP / SC-70-5 / SOT-353 package, surface-mount only.

210 ns delay and 96 µA — the speed-versus-power trade-off

The 210 ns propagation delay is fast enough for most sensor-level comparators and PWM loop feedback, but not for GHz-class data recovery. Input bias current is 1 pA at 5.5 V, so high-impedance sources (photodiode, pH probe) won't load the signal. Hysteresis of ±2.5 mV is built in, reducing chatter on slow edges without external resistors.

Frequently asked questions

What output types does MAX987EXK+T support?
