3.3W mono into 8Ω — Class DG topology
The MAX98307ETE+T is a Class DG mono audio amplifier delivering 3.3W into an 8Ω load from a 2.6V to 5.25V supply rail. Class DG architecture combines a linear front-end with a Class D output stage, improving efficiency over a pure linear amp at moderate output levels while keeping the output stage switching losses lower than a full Class D design at low power. Supply voltage spans 2.6V to 5.25V, covering single-cell Li-ion through 5V USB rails. The 3.3W output at 8Ω is achieved at the upper end of the supply range; derate proportionally for lower supply voltages or higher impedance loads.
Industrial temperature range and protection suite
Integrated short-circuit and thermal protection prevent the output stage from failing under a faulted load or sustained clipping. The shutdown feature allows the amplifier to be disabled when not in use, reducing quiescent draw. Depop circuitry suppresses the audible pop on power-up and shutdown transitions.
