The MAX942EUA+ is a dual general-purpose comparator with push-pull CMOS/TTL output. It runs off a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and delivers an 80 ns max propagation delay. Not rated for under-hood automotive, but fine for any chassis-mounted or indoor industrial enclosure.
80 ns propagation delay — the speed decision
At 80 ns max, this comparator is faster than a standard open-collector type. The trade-off: quiescent current sits at 600 µA max per package.
