Charge pump for negative rail generation
The MAX889SESA+ is a charge-pump DC-DC converter that generates a regulated negative output from a positive input rail, eliminating the need for a magnetic inductor in the power stage. Rated for 200 mA continuous output, the switching frequency of 1 MHz keeps the external flying capacitors small enough for a compact layout on a two-layer board.
Package, temperature, and lifecycle
RoHS3 compliant, with no halogenated flame retardants or lead above the threshold; the tube packaging is standard for low-to-medium volume assembly.
