Single-cell Li-Ion charger with USB interface
The MAX77751DEFG+ is a 1-cell Li-Ion battery charger IC from Maxim Integrated, delivering a programmable constant-current charge up to 3.15 A max via a USB interface. Housed in a 24-FC2QFN (3x3 mm) package with an exposed pad for thermal management, it suits space-constrained portable designs where PCB real estate is tight. The supply voltage range extends to 13.7 V max, covering USB-C and standard 5 V wall adapters without an external step-down stage.
Charge current and fault protection envelope
The charge current is constant-programmable up to 3.15 A max, which means a 3000 mAh cell can be filled in roughly one hour at the full rate — useful for fast-charge portable devices. On-chip fault protection covers over-current, over-temperature, over-voltage, reverse battery, and short circuit — the charger shuts down before the cell or the board sees damage.
