The MAX6960ATH+ is an LED matrix driver from Analog Devices, configured as an 8x8 array with a 4-wire serial interface. It drives any digit type, making it suitable for multiplexed alphanumeric or icon displays in panel indicators and signage.

Supply and temperature range for industrial environments

Operating from 2.7V to 3.6V with a typical supply current of 7.5 mA, the driver fits into low-power 3.3V logic rails common in embedded systems. The 44-WFQFN exposed-pad package (also designated 44-TQFN 7x7 mm) provides a low thermal resistance path to the PCB ground plane. The exposed paddle must be soldered to a thermal land with adequate via array to keep junction temperature within limits when scanning the full 64 LEDs at peak current.
