What this supervisor does and where it fits
The Maxim Integrated MAX6834IXRD3 is a single-channel voltage supervisor that monitors a 1.665V rail and holds the reset output low for a minimum of 140ms after the supply rises above threshold. It is a Simple Reset/Power-On Reset type — no watchdog timer, no manual reset input, just a clean power-good signal for a single low-voltage core rail. The open-drain output lets you wire-OR it with other supervisors or pull it up to whatever logic voltage the downstream reset input needs. The SC-70-3 package (SOT-323 footprint) uses three pins. The -40°C to 85°C operating range covers industrial control, base station, and outdoor telecom equipment.
1.665V threshold — what it means for the rail you are monitoring
The 1.665V threshold monitors a nominal 1.8V supply. When the voltage drops below 1.665V, the reset output asserts low and stays low for at least 140ms after recovery.
Active production status and sourcing posture
It remains a current-production part suitable for new designs and production BOMs.
