Four-rail supervisor in a SOT-23-6 — what it does
It asserts an active-low reset output when any monitored voltage drops below its threshold, and holds reset for a minimum of 140 ms after all rails recover. The open-drain output lets you wire-OR multiple reset signals onto a shared line — common in multi-voltage systems where a single supervisor must sequence or protect several power domains.
Package and mounting — board-fit constraints
The MAX6710IUT+T comes in a SOT-23-6 package (supplier device package SOT-6), surface-mount only. The small footprint is sized for dense PCB layouts — typical in handheld or space-constrained industrial designs. No through-hole option exists, so plan for reflow assembly.
The wide temperature range ensures reliable reset behaviour when the board is cold-soaked or running near the thermal limit of a sealed enclosure.
For BOM freeze planning, the active status means no near-term LTB risk, and the ROHS3 compliance avoids re-qualification for lead-free assemblies.
