Active-low push-pull output — interface fit
The push-pull output eliminates the external pull-up resistor that an open-drain reset output would need. The active-low polarity matches the reset input on the vast majority of microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs. The totem-pole stage can source and sink enough current to drive the reset line of multiple devices on the same net, simplifying the board layout.
Industrial temperature range and package
The SOT-23-3 package is a standard footprint, easy to hand-assemble or reflow, and the surface-mount design keeps the board profile low.
