2.048V precision anchor for 16+ bit signal chains
The MAX6126A21 is a series voltage reference delivering a fixed 2.048V output with ±0.06% initial accuracy and a 5ppm/°C temperature coefficient.
Supply rails and output drive
The output sources up to 10 mA, enough to bias multiple ADC reference inputs or a small resistive divider network without an external buffer. Supply current is 725 µA typical — the quiescent draw is low enough that the reference can stay powered continuously in a battery-operated instrument. For a 12-bit system the drift is under 1 LSB.
Housed in an 8-MSOP (also called 8-uMAX/uSOP) with 0.118-inch body width and 0.65 mm pin pitch. The land pattern matches the standard MSOP-8 footprint; no exposed thermal pad exists on this package variant, so the primary heat path is through the leads. The 10 mA output current at 12.6 V input dissipates about 105 mW — well within the package's thermal capability without a pad.
Lifecycle and compliance
Lead-bearing termination may affect solder joint reliability in lead-free reflow profiles; verify the reflow peak temperature against the part's MSL rating before committing the BOM.
