3 V reference in a SOT-23-3 — what it is and where it fits
The Maxim Integrated MAX6030BEUR is a series voltage reference delivering a fixed 3 V output with ±0.4% initial tolerance. It operates from a 3.2 V to 12.6 V input rail and draws 35 µA quiescent supply current, making it a fit for low-power analog front-ends, battery-monitoring circuits, and industrial sensor references where board space is tight — the SOT-23-3 package (also known as TO-236-3 or SC-59) keeps the footprint small.
What the ratings mean for your BOM
Supply current of 35 µA is the current the reference itself consumes from the input rail — not the load it can drive. The 500 µA output current rating means it can bias a handful of op-amp inputs or a low-power ADC reference pin, but do not plan to source an external load beyond that without buffering.
Sourcing and lifecycle
It is RoHS non-compliant per the original release, so verify your assembly house's exemption policy if you require RoHS compliance.
