Eight-channel low-side driver with SPI control
The Maxim Integrated MAX4820EUP+ is an 8-channel low-side power driver for relays, solenoids, and other inductive loads. It uses an SPI interface to program the eight outputs individually. Each N-channel output sinks up to 70 mA with a typical on-resistance of 2 Ohms, in a 20-TSSOP exposed-pad package. The load supply range is 2.3 V to 5.5 V.
Rated for junction temperatures from -40°C to 150°C, the MAX4820EUP+ suits under-hood automotive, industrial oven controls, and outdoor telecom enclosures where ambient heat exceeds typical commercial limits. The 150°C junction ceiling gives headroom for self-heating from simultaneous channel activation in a confined board space.
