SP4T analog switch for precision signal routing
The Maxim Integrated MAX4524LEUB+ is a single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) CMOS analog switch designed for routing analog or digital signals in a compact 10-pin uMAX package. Its 200 MHz -3dB bandwidth and fast switching times — 150 ns on, 120 ns off — suit it for video multiplexing, data acquisition front-ends, and audio signal steering where minimal signal degradation matters. On-resistance is 80 Ohm max, with channel-to-channel matching held to 2 Ohm, keeping insertion loss consistent across paths. The part operates from a single 2V to 12V supply and handles signal swings up to the rail. Charge injection is a low 0.8 pC, reducing glitch energy on the output during switching.
An 80 Ohm max on-resistance acts as a series resistor when closed. Off-state leakage is 2 nA max.
