RS-485/RS-422 transceiver for 3.3V industrial networks
The Analog Devices MAX3486CSA+ is a half-duplex transceiver delivering 2.5 Mbps data rate over a single differential pair. The 50 mV receiver hysteresis provides noise margin on cable runs typical of factory-floor serial links.
Housed in an 8-SOIC (3.90 mm width) surface-mount package, it fits standard pick-and-place assembly. The narrow SOIC footprint is common across the MAX348x family, simplifying board layout if a drop-in alternate is qualified later.
