RS-232 transceiver with wide supply tolerance
The MAX3223EAP+ is a full-duplex RS-232 transceiver integrating two drivers and two receivers in a single 20-SSOP package. Data rate is rated at 120 kbps, suitable for legacy serial interfaces in industrial control, point-of-sale terminals, and instrumentation where the bus speed stays under this ceiling.
Receiver hysteresis and temperature grade
Receiver hysteresis is specified at 300 mV, which provides noise immunity on the RS-232 line — the receiver will not toggle on coupled noise below that threshold, reducing false starts on the UART.
