The Analog Devices MAX308CSE+T is a single 8:1 analog multiplexer in a 16-SOIC surface-mount package. It routes one of eight analog inputs to a common output, controlled by three address lines and an enable. The 100 Ohm max on-resistance is low enough for most audio and low-frequency signal chains without adding noticeable attenuation, and the 150 ns turn-on/turn-off time keeps up with moderate-speed data acquisition or test equipment switching. It runs on a single supply from 5V to 30V, or dual supplies from ±5V to ±20V, which makes it adaptable to systems with existing ±15V analog rails or a single 12V or 24V industrial supply. The crosstalk of -92 dB at 100 kHz means channel bleed is well suppressed for audio or low-level sensor multiplexing. Charge injection is 2 pC, so glitch energy during switching is small enough to avoid upsetting a downstream sample-and-hold in most designs.
It is not specified for industrial or automotive use where the ambient may dip below freezing or exceed 70°C.
Package and supply details
Housed in a 16-SOIC with 3.90 mm body width (the narrow SOIC-16 footprint), it is a common, easy-to-solder package for reflow or hand assembly. Surface-mount only — no through-hole option.
The MAX308CSE+T is an active, production-part number from Analog Devices.
