At 10 Mbps, this transceiver supports PROFIBUS-DP and Modbus RTU at high baud rates. The 100 mV hysteresis filters out noise on unterminated stubs.
Housed in a 14-SOIC (0.154" width, 3.90 mm body) surface-mount package, the MAX3089ESD+T shares the same footprint as the industry-standard SOIC-14. The 14-SOIC supplier device package is the same 14-SOIC, so no footprint mismatch between the order code and the physical part.
