MPPT cell-string optimizer in a compact QFN
The MAX20801TPBA+ is a Cell-String Optimizer from Analog Devices, designed for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) in solar or energy-harvesting strings. Its job is to extract peak power from each cell or sub-string independently, compensating for mismatch, shading, or thermal gradients across the array. Housed in a 10-PowerVQFN package (supplier device package 10-FCQFN, 5.8x3 mm), it mounts on a standard surface-mount footprint and ships in tray format. The compact QFN keeps the thermal path short for the currents involved in a cell-string optimizer stage.
