12-channel LED driver for automotive lighting
The MAX20092ATJ/VY+ is a 12-channel DC-DC controller LED driver from Analog Devices, built for automotive exterior lighting applications such as matrix headlamps and daytime running lights. Each of the 12 outputs delivers up to 1.5 A, with an internal switch that eliminates the external MOSFET in many topologies — simplifying the BOM and saving board space in a 32-WFQFN package.
Supporting both analog and PWM dimming at a 2 kHz switching frequency, the controller can implement smooth brightness transitions or high-frequency PWM for camera-sync avoidance — a common requirement in adaptive headlight systems.
Housed in a 32-lead WFQFN with exposed pad (5x5 mm SWTQFN), the wettable-flank terminals enable automated optical inspection (AOI) of solder joints — a production advantage over standard QFN packages that hide the sidewall fillet. Supplied in tray packaging, it is suited for low-to-medium volume assembly where tape-and-reel is not required; for higher volumes, verify tray-to-reel conversion options with your CM.
No official successor or pin-compatible second source is documented; the part is single-sourced from Analog Devices. For BOM risk mitigation, request a multi-source quote through our desk.
