The MAX1823HEUB from Analog Devices is a dual high-side USB switch with an autoreset feature, packaged in a 10-uMAX (10-TFSOP/10-MSOP) surface-mount package. It integrates two N-channel MOSFETs with a typical on-resistance of 75 mOhm, each capable of delivering 720 mA minimum continuous current.

Protection and control interface

Fault protection covers adjustable current limiting, overload, over-temperature, short-circuit, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The autoreset function automatically retries after a fault clears, which is useful for USB ports that must recover without host intervention. A load-discharge feature and a status flag output are included — the flag signals fault conditions to the system controller, while the discharge path drains the output capacitance when the switch is off.
