Dual-phase buck for automotive rails
The MAX16933CATIS/V+ is a dual-output, dual-phase step-down (buck) switching regulator from Maxim Integrated's Automotive AEC-Q100 series. It delivers two independent positive output rails from a single 3.5 V to 42 V input supply, with the second phase available for higher-current configurations or a separate voltage rail.
Automotive temperature grade and supply range
A 98.5% maximum duty cycle allows the output to stay in regulation close to the input rail, useful when the battery voltage sags during cranking.
Control, output, and package details
Control features include Enable, Frequency Control, and Power Good — the PG flag simplifies sequencing with downstream loads or a supervisor. The exposed paddle is the main thermal path — the layout should connect it to a copper plane on the top and inner layers. Output options include fixed 3.3 V, fixed 5 V, or adjustable via external feedback resistors, covering the most common automotive logic and sensor supply rails.
Active lifecycle and compliance
Available through independent distribution channels — quoted to order against BOM quantities.
