LCD bias supply with a 30 V compliance ceiling
The MAX1605ETT-T is a step-up DC-DC converter from Analog Devices, purpose-built as an LCD bias supply. It delivers a single regulated output from 0.8 V up to 30 V, accepting an input rail as low as 2.4 V and as high as 5.5 V. The 30 V maximum output covers the bias rail for most small-to-medium LCD panels — a typical 7-inch TFT needs 18-24 V for the source driver supply, and this part reaches that with margin. The 2.4 V minimum input means it can start from a single lithium-ion cell near its end-of-discharge voltage.
Package, temperature grade, and compliance
The exposed paddle carries the ground return and is the primary thermal path — the layout should connect it to the ground plane with multiple vias under the pad.
