Two-rail sequencer with nine threshold presets
The MAX16025TE+T from Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated) is a power-supply sequencer that monitors two voltage rails and asserts an active-low, open-drain reset output when any monitored voltage falls below its threshold. The reset timeout is 140 ms fixed or adjustable via an external capacitor, giving the downstream load time to stabilize after all rails are valid. Nine selectable threshold combinations cover common core and I/O voltages (e.g., 0.9 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, 5 V) without external resistor dividers, which simplifies the BOM and saves board area.
140 ms reset timeout — what it buys you
The 140 ms minimum reset timeout is long enough to cover the power-up settling of most switching regulators and LDOs in a two-rail system. If your load needs a different delay, the adjustable option lets you stretch it with a single capacitor. The active-low open-drain output is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, or 3.3 V logic — just add a pull-up resistor to the appropriate rail.
The wide temperature range also covers most automotive under-hood applications that do not require formal AEC-Q100 qualification.
The MAX16025TE+T is an active, current-production part per the manufacturer's status. It is ROHS3 compliant.
