Battery-stack monitoring for 1-16 cells
The MAX14921ECS+T is a multi-chemistry battery monitor that handles 1 to 16 series cells in a single IC — one part covers everything from a 1S handheld pack to a 16S e-bike or energy-storage stack. Communication runs over an SPI interface, which keeps the isolation barrier simple and the firmware readout loop deterministic — no I2C address conflicts when daisy-chaining multiple monitors on a high-voltage stack.
Fault detection and temperature range
Built-in fault protection covers over-temperature and over/under voltage conditions — the monitor flags a cell that drifts outside the safe window without waiting for the host MCU to poll each channel.
80-TQFP footprint and supply posture
Housed in an 80-TQFP package measuring 12x12 mm — the 0.5 mm pitch QFP lands on a standard footprint with peripheral routing, no buried vias needed. CT is available for prototype or low-volume builds.
