The MAX1487ECSA+T: Rated for 2.5 Mbps on the differential bus — this sets the maximum signalling rate over a twisted-pair cable segment; actual throughput depends on cable length, termination, and the number of nodes on the bus. The 70 mV receiver hysteresis filters noise on the differential lines, preventing output chatter when the input signal edges are slow or the bus is idle.
