RS-485/RS-422 transceiver, 250 kbps, full duplex
The MAX1481EUB+T is a single RS-485/RS-422 transceiver from Analog Devices, configured as 1 driver and 1 receiver in full-duplex mode. It handles data rates up to 250 kbps — fast enough for most industrial fieldbus links (Profibus DP at 12 Mbps is faster, but this suits Modbus RTU at 115.2 kbps or similar). The 70 mV receiver hysteresis filters noise on long twisted-pair runs — a real help when the cable snakes through a factory floor with motor drives nearby. The supplier device package is 10-uMAX/uSOP — same footprint, different brand name. Surface-mount only; no through-hole option.
