At 250 kbps, this transceiver is sized for Profibus DP at the lower baud rate or Modbus RTU. It is not a high-speed part for backplanes; the 250 kbps ceiling keeps EMI low and allows longer cable segments without repeaters. The 100 mV hysteresis helps prevent false triggering from ground shifts or coupled noise on unshielded twisted pair.
Store the reels in dry storage per JEDEC MSL level — the 8-SOIC package is moisture-sensitive if left unsealed.
