12-bit SAR ADC at 400k SPS — the fit decision
The MAX1262BCEI+ is a 12-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 400k samples per second through a multiplexed front-end that accepts either pseudo-differential or single-ended inputs. The 400k SPS rate with a parallel data interface suits it for industrial control and data-acquisition systems where the host controller reads conversion results on a dedicated bus rather than over a slower serial link. A single ADC core serves up to 8 single-ended or 4 pseudo-differential channels via the internal mux, so one part can scan multiple sensor inputs without an external analog multiplexer.
Supply rails and reference options
Both external and internal reference options are available, giving the designer flexibility between a precision external reference for ratiometric measurements and the on-chip reference for reduced BOM count.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in a 28-QSOP (3.90 mm width SSOP footprint), the surface-mount package keeps the board area tight — the 0.154-inch body width is common for multi-channel data converters.
