8-bit SAR ADC with I²C — what it does on your board

Input flexibility and reference options

The MUX-S/H-ADC architecture means you can sequence through six differential pairs or twelve single-ended signals without an external analog switch. The pseudo-differential mode rejects common-mode noise on long sensor leads — useful when the signal source is a few metres from the ADC. Both an internal bandgap reference and an external reference input are available; the internal reference simplifies the BOM for moderate accuracy, while the external input lets you match the ADC span to a precision reference or ratiometric sensor supply.

Frequently asked questions

Does MAX11605EEE+T have an internal reference?

Yes, the MAX11605EEE+T supports both an internal bandgap reference and an external reference input, selectable per application.
