The LTC6995IDCB-2#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator from the TimerBlox® family that generates a programmable square-wave output from 29.1 µHz up to 977 Hz. That bottom end — one cycle every 9.5 hours — is where a quartz crystal or MEMS resonator cannot go without an external counter chain. The frequency is set by a single external resistor and the internal master oscillator; no external timing capacitor or crystal is needed. Supply current is 135 µA typical, and the part operates from 2.25 V to 5.5 V, so it can run directly off a 3.3 V or 5 V rail without a dedicated regulator.
