Programmable silicon oscillator for timing-chain replacement
The LTC6992CDCB-2#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator from the TimerBlox® series, programmable from 3.81 Hz to 1 MHz via a single resistor — no external crystal or ceramic resonator needed.
6-DFN package and board integration
Housed in a 6-lead WFDFN with exposed pad (2 mm × 3 mm), the part is surface-mount and requires a thermal pad on the PCB for heat sinking. The exposed pad is the primary thermal path — the board layout should connect it to a copper plane to keep junction temperature within limits at the upper end of the frequency range.
