What this silicon oscillator does for your clock tree
The LTC6908IS6-2#TRMPBF is a programmable silicon oscillator from Analog Devices — no crystal, no ceramic resonator, no external timing components beyond a single resistor to set the frequency. It covers a 50 kHz to 10 MHz range with a single resistor, drawing just 1.25 mA from a 2.7V to 5.5V rail. That supply current is the whole oscillator budget — no separate crystal drive current to add.
The TSOT-23-6 package is a standard hand-solderable footprint, so it fits both prototype runs and volume assembly.
The supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V lets it run from a 3.3V or 5V rail without a separate regulator, simplifying the power tree.
