The LTC4068XEDD-4.2#PBF is a constant-current / constant-voltage linear charger for one lithium-ion cell, delivering up to 950 mA programmable charge current from a supply rail rated to 6.5 V max. Housed in an 8-lead WFDFN with exposed pad (3×3 mm footprint), the part relies on the PCB copper pour under the pad to sink the thermal dissipation from linear regulation — at full 950 mA the power loss is roughly (Vin - Vbat) × Icharge, so the thermal via pattern matters for sustained charge cycles. The charge current is set by a single external resistor; no digital interface is needed. This makes it a drop-in fit for designs where simplicity and low BOM count matter more than I2C-controlled charge profiles.
