Programmable timer — set it right for your pack
Charge termination relies on an external timer resistor, not on end-of-charge current detection. The designer must calculate the timer period based on the battery capacity and charge current — a mismatch can either terminate prematurely or overcharge. The datasheet gives the formula; verify it against your pack's data before committing the board.
