16-bit SAR ADC with 250 kSPS throughput
The LTC2326HMS-16#PBF is a 16-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Analog Devices, sampling at 250 kSPS with a single pseudo-differential input channel. The SAR architecture delivers deterministic conversion latency — no pipeline delay — making it a fit for multiplexed or time-critical measurement paths where sample-to-sample timing must be consistent. Operating from a single 5 V supply for both analog and digital rails simplifies the power tree — no separate I/O voltage needed. The SPI data interface connects directly to most microcontrollers or FPGAs without glue logic.
The 16-MSOP package (3 mm body width) fits tight PCB layouts; the tube delivery works for hand-assembly or low-volume reflow without reel fees. The internal reference option eliminates an external voltage reference component, saving board space and BOM cost. For applications requiring a tighter drift specification, the external reference input accepts an external precision reference.
