Active production — what the 40 mA rating means for your BOM
The LTC1754ES6-3.3#TRMPBF is an active-production charge pump from Analog Devices that steps up a 2 V to 4.4 V input to a fixed 3.3 V output without an inductor — the topology is a switched-capacitor charge pump, so the only external components are two small ceramic capacitors. Rated for 40 mA continuous output, this part fits low-power loads like sensor bias rails, op-amp supplies, or a local 3.3 V rail in a mixed-voltage system where a full inductor-based converter would be overkill. The 600 kHz switching frequency keeps the flying capacitor small — typically 0.1 µF to 1 µF ceramic — which saves board space in the SOT-23-6 footprint.
Housed in a 6-lead SOT-23 (supplier device package TSOT-23-6), the footprint is 2.9 mm × 1.6 mm — a standard layout that reflows easily on a two-layer board without thermal vias. The fixed 3.3 V output simplifies the BOM: no feedback resistor divider, so the output accuracy depends only on the internal reference.
ROHS3 compliant, with no exemption conflicts for EU or UKCA markets.
