RS562 transceiver for 3V serial links
Rated for 120 kBd data rate, it handles typical UART-based serial communication — terminal interfaces, modem links, or instrumentation ports — where the RS562 standard (a superset of RS232 with tighter voltage swing) is specified.
The 3V–3.6V supply range means this part runs from a single 3.3V rail, unlike older RS232 transceivers that need 5V or a charge-pump doubler. Receiver hysteresis is 400 mV, providing noise immunity on longer cable runs typical of RS562 links. That's comparable to the ADM202JRWZ-REEL (also 400 mV) but tighter than the ADM238LJRZ-REEL (650 mV).
For BOM planning, the 16-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm width) package with supplier device package 16-SO is a standard footprint — no special land pattern or routing constraint beyond typical SOIC-16 guidelines.
