100 V input-range controller for isolated and non-isolated topologies
The LT3758EMSE#PBF is a current-mode PWM controller from Analog Devices that handles boost, flyback, and SEPIC topologies from a single 5.5 V to 100 V supply rail. That 100 V input ceiling means it can regulate from a 48 V telecom bus or a 72 V nominal industrial rail without an external pre-regulator.
Switching frequency and control-loop flexibility
The oscillator runs from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, programmable with a single resistor on the RT pin. Clock sync input is available, so the switcher can lock to a system clock and avoid beat-frequency coupling with a downstream converter or a sensitive ADC sampling clock. Control features include an enable pin for sequencing, frequency control for spread-spectrum or EMI mitigation, and a soft-start pin that ramps the reference voltage — this prevents inrush current overshoot on a heavily loaded output at power-up.
The controller is RoHS3 compliant and ships in a tube. The 0.118-inch body width (3.00 mm) fits a compact layout; the exposed pad footprint requires a thermal via array under the package for the rated power dissipation.
No official second-source or pin-compatible cross-reference is recorded from the manufacturer. For a BOM that requires a hedge, the parametric space (100 V input, boost/flyback/SEPIC, 1 MHz) narrows the alternative search to controllers with the same supply range and topology set.
