Regulator identity and key parametrics
The LT3061EDCB-3.3#TRMPBF: The input supply range extends to 45 V maximum, giving it headroom for unregulated rails or multi-cell battery stacks without a pre-regulator. Quiescent current is 90 µA typical, and the maximum dropout voltage at full load is 0.43 V at 100 mA — the 3.3 V rail holds regulation as long as the input stays above 3.73 V at that load. Power-supply rejection ratio is 73 dB at 120 Hz, which means the output rejects line-frequency ripple from a mains-derived supply by a factor of roughly 4500 — useful when the LDO follows a rectifier or a switching regulator with significant 100/120 Hz ripple.
Housed in an 8-WFDFN exposed pad package (supplier device package 8-DFN 2x3 mm), the part is surface-mount with a thermal pad underneath. The control interface includes enable and soft-start pins — the soft-start limits inrush current into the output capacitor during startup, which matters when the load is a large capacitive bank or a sensor module that powers up into a known state.
Protection and compliance
Built-in protection covers over-current, over-temperature, and reverse polarity — the reverse-polarity clamp prevents damage when the input is accidentally reversed, a common fault in field wiring.
